Job Opportunity

Leverage your expertise to excel in a fast-paced dairy production environment as an Assistant Plant Manager. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the success of our plant by ensuring seamless operations and promoting efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency, lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies, and implement best practices.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to food safety and environmental standards, conduct regular safety audits and training sessions, and address non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and packaging, coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, and manage relationships with suppliers.
  • Financial Management: Assist in budget preparation and management, monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures, and analyze financial and operational data to drive decision-making.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on production, quality, and operational performance, present findings and recommendations to senior management, and use data-driven insights to improve plant performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in dairy technology or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in heading dairy plant operations, preferably in cheese production.
  • Strong communication, management, and supervisory skills.
