The role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Membership Development Specialist based in India to deliver membership support and promote the benefits of ICE membership to non-members. The successful candidate will work closely with the ICE Membership Manager to develop and deliver a regional strategy for membership development, including coordinating training and services to individuals and companies within India.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Develop and execute business growth strategies to increase membership numbers and drive revenue growth in India.
  • Membership Growth: Promote and grow membership among Indian professionals and businesses through targeted marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Membership Support: Provide expert advice and guidance to members and non-members on matters related to civil engineering and professional development.
  • Employer Support: Offer guidance to employers on professional development opportunities for their employees.
  • Higher Education Partnerships: Develop strategic partnerships with higher education institutions to raise awareness of ICE membership and professional development opportunities.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the ICE Membership Manager, Membership Development Officers, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency of approach and delivery of results.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills
  • Civil Engineering Degree or Equivalent: A degree in civil engineering or equivalent experience and knowledge in the field.
  • Business Development Experience: 8-12 years of experience in business development, preferably in the infrastructure or technical training sectors.
  • International Exposure: Recent and relevant experience working with international professional bodies, preferably in the UK market.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade senior stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Presentation Skills: Outstanding presentation skills, with experience delivering presentations and workshops to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and anticipate needs, with a focus on driving business growth and revenue expansion.
