Plant Operations Manager Position

The primary role of the Plant Operations Manager involves overseeing the overall performance of the plant, ensuring that production processes are optimized for efficiency and productivity.

Key responsibilities include managing daily operations, implementing process improvements, maintaining product quality standards, and promoting a safe working environment.

Core Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization:
    • Identify areas for improvement to enhance productivity and efficiency.
    • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
    • Implement best practices to improve plant operations.
  • Compliance and Safety Management:
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to food safety, environmental standards, and workplace safety.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
    • Address non-compliance issues promptly and effectively.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
    • Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and packaging.
    • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
    • Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Financial Performance Analysis:
    • Assist in preparing and managing the plant's financial plans.
    • Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
    • Analyze financial and operational data to drive decision-making.
  • Performance Reporting:
    • Prepare regular reports on production, quality, and operational performance.
    • Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
    • Use data-driven insights to improve plant performance.
