Instrumentation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review BMS layouts using Revit and other 3D modeling tools
2. Prepare and review control schematics, I/O lists and sequence of operations
3. Prepare and review P&ID's for industrial and infrastructure projects using SmartPlant P&ID
4. Coordinate with design groups (electrical, telecom, architecture, infrastructure, process and mechanical) to identify instrument locations
5. Prepare instrumentation cable block diagrams and cables schedules
6. Select instruments and prepare relevant wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, data sheets, hook-ups using SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI)
7. Review BMS and Instrumentation & Controls related detailed designs and shop drawings done by suppliers, contractors and other consultants
8. Supervise installation of BMS and control systems at construction sites
9. Witness testing and commissioning of installed instruments and control systems (BMS, SCADA, DCS)
10. Report to Heads of Mechanical & Industrial Department and IS&A Unit

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Instrumentation and Controls, Electronics and Communications Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.

Experience:
~1-8 years of experience in the design, implementation and testing/commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS), Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS) and SCADA systems including integrations with 3rd party systems is a must.

Preferred Qualifications:
~ Knowledge of IoT based building automation solutions, data analytics, cloud solutions, Edge Computing and Digital Twins is preferable.
~ Experience in the development of API's and programming is a plus.
~ Holding certifications from relevant organizations/training institutes is also desirable.

Working Conditions:
Very good command of English language.

Travel Requirements:
Willing to be based in Bengaluru with chances of travelling to job sites in the Gulf region and elsewhere.
