Loan Originator Leader

The Mortgage Origination Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of mortgage loan officers, including attendance, training, hiring, recruiting, and performance reviews.

  • Lead a team by directing day-to-day operations, managing attendance, providing training, overseeing hiring and recruiting processes, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Demonstrate expertise in RESPA/ TRID review and other federal, state, and industry compliance requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with title companies, clients, real estate agents, mortgage loan officers, and mortgage lenders to ensure successful loan closings.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting with the application process, overseeing loan closings, and completing post-closing tasks efficiently.
  • Evaluate and improve the quality control of residential mortgage loans and refinances by adhering to lender underwriting guidelines and federal regulations.
  • Develop comprehensive coaching and training programs for new and existing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Analyze quality assurance data to identify areas for improvement in lender decision making.
  • Document and implement processes to fill gaps and optimize efficiency.
  • Design a reporting system that enables clear communication of performance metrics to team members, peers, managers, and Executive Leadership.
  • Monitor and manage the loan production pipeline to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Meet departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and prepare action plans for underperforming areas.
  • Communicate key initiatives, deliverables, and expectations across team members, peers, managers, and Executive Leadership.
  • Oversee administrative tasks, including timecards, schedules, vacations, and performance reviews.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine processes to achieve maximum efficiency.
