We are seeking a seasoned professional with strong analytical and communication skills to fill the role of Credit Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing home loan applications based on Australian credit policies and guidelines. They will perform income verification, credit checks, property valuation reviews, and responsible lending assessments. Additionally, they will liaise with external parties for clarifications or documentation gaps and provide timely and high-quality credit decisions while meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and compliance standards.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide junior underwriters, support process improvements, and prepare daily/weekly reports on pipeline, SLAs, and quality metrics.
Requirements- A relevant degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience, with at least 2–3 years in the Australian home loan domain is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Australian credit policies, responsible lending guidelines, and loan origination systems is essential.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills are necessary.
