About our organization:

We are a 100% subsidiary of MUFG Bank Ltd, with offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. It has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/AML, Credit, Operations etc.

The role is responsible for leading and managing end-to-end loan processing for India branches and servicing activities while ensuring operational efficiency, risk control, and adherence to regulatory and internal policy requirements. This includes oversight of day-to-day operations, driving process improvements, and delivering high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Performing duties diligently
  • Working as an SME for the process
  • Nurturing team members
  • Understanding policies and adhering to needs
  • Working closely with overseas branches to process transactions as per accuracy standards
  • Learning system functions and adhering to controls
  • Supporting overseas branches to resolve operational incidents
  • Providing suggestions to improve operational processes

Customer Requirements include:

  • Delivering high-quality service to enhance the function's reputation and meet customer expectations
  • Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders
  • Supporting and resolving customer enquiries and providing excellent customer service
  • Working in partnership with Compliance to understand relevant operational guidelines
  • Working in partnership with the wider operations team for information sharing and ensuring accurate transactions
  • Supporting developmental projects relating to the Department

People Leadership includes:

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing loan operations team, ensuring effective workload distribution, performance management, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Providing guidance and support to more junior members of the team, assisting in the training and development of individuals to ensure a high level of job knowledge
  • Providing SME Support, nurturing the team, and creating appropriate backup systems
  • Taking initiatives to guide and train new joiners and junior staff

Other Responsibilities include:

  • Performing checking processes on operational issues escalated by less experienced team members
  • Reconciling daily pending transactions
  • Supporting the Head of Department in determining the level of support on new product offerings
  • Supporting the Head of Department in achieving departmental KPIs
  • Supporting in managing the risk profile for the department
  • Supporting internal and external audits within the department by preparing documentation
  • Maintaining good working knowledge of industry trends and regulations
  • Adhering to all company policies and guidelines
  • Timely submission of statutory reports
  • Conducting necessary trainings to the team
