Location: Mumbai, India.
Hybrid model: 3 days WFO and 2-day work from home.

This role requires strong skills in communication, leadership, risk management, financial management, analytical thinking, stakeholder management, problem-solving, adaptability, and knowledge of banking regulations. A deep understanding of budgeting and project timelines to ensure compliance and deliver projects within financial constraints is essential.

PMP certification is required. You will need 5-7 years of core project management experience in the BFS space, managing project sizes of up to 200-300+ FTEs, and 30-40 projects annually. Leading large-scale, complex projects is also necessary.

  • Leadership: Ability to motivate and guide project teams, delegate tasks, and manage conflicts to achieve project goals.

  • Financial Management: Understanding and managing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Analytical Skills: Analyzing data and complex financial information to make informed decisions and identify potential issues.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively managing expectations and communicating with diverse stakeholders, including senior management, compliance officers, and technical teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Quickly identifying and resolving project issues, adapting to changing circumstances, and finding creative solutions.
  • Adaptability: ability to adjust to changing project requirements, market conditions, and regulatory updates.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Thorough understanding of relevant banking regulations and compliance requirements to ensure projects adhere to legal standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage day-to-day operational aspects of multiple large-scale, complex strategic, regulatory, and departmental projects with cross-functional teams.
  2. Develop and gain approval of project charter, identifies and assembles project team, creates detailed project plan, performs risk and issue management, and monitors scope creep.
  3. Coordinate with third parties/vendors to promote successful execution when needed.
  4. Ensure optimum utilization of resources and management of budgetary targets to meet goals.
  5. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  6. Measure project performance to ensure compliance with expected quality standards.
  7. Publish status reports to the sponsor, business process owner, project team, and key stakeholders.
  8. Report and escalate to management as needed when project time deadlines become at-risk.
  9. Record and share lessons learned and best practices.
  10. Contribute to enhancing the PMO best practices, processes, and policies.
  11. Support adoption of the scrum framework by coaching the team on embracing agile values and principles.
  12. Provide coaching and mentoring to project team members and other associates.
  13. Develop and leverage strong working relationships.
  14. Champion spirit of continuous improvement.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
