This role entails leading a team of professionals in credit management, overseeing end-to-end credit underwriting and loan disbursal processes for mortgage and retail loans.

\Credit Assessment and Underwriting Criteria\

  • Conduct thorough assessments of loan applications to determine creditworthiness based on product and policy norms.\
  • Ensure adherence to Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations, credit bureau assessments, and financial evaluations.\
  • Apply sound judgment to make informed decisions regarding loan approvals.\
  • Maintain accurate records of assessment results and loan approval status.\
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement efficient credit underwriting processes.\
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in credit underwriting.\
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including risk management, legal, and compliance teams.\
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.\
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure consistency and accuracy in credit underwriting decisions.\
  • Identify areas for process improvement and develop recommendations for enhancements.\
  • Implement changes to credit underwriting procedures as needed to maintain alignment with business objectives.\
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to credit underwriting, such as approval rates, cycle times, and delinquency rates.\
  • Communicate KPI metrics to senior leadership and recommend strategies to improve performance.\
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track credit underwriting performance and identify trends.\
  • Work collaboratively with data analytics teams to analyze credit underwriting data and identify opportunities for process improvements.\
  • Provide input to the development of business cases to support investments in new technologies or process enhancements.\
  • Support the implementation of new credit underwriting systems and tools, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.\
  • Partner with IT to resolve technical issues and ensure optimal system performance.\
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership.
