WebMD Health Corp., a leading provider of health information services, is seeking a skilled Medical Editor to join our team. As a key member of our editorial department, you will be responsible for assigning and editing high-quality content in various medical specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Edit articles to ensure accuracy and medical relevance, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Manage the editorial workflow from start to finish, collaborating with freelancers and other departments as required.
  • Analyze traffic metrics and audience engagement to inform strategic editorial planning.
  • Develop new approaches to convey complex medical information to both professional and consumer audiences.
  • Collaborate with SEO, medical review teams, photo editors, content strategists, and other departments to create engaging content.

Requirements

  • 4+ years' experience in editing, including online health, wellness, news, and/or lifestyle brands.
  • Demonstrated expertise in medical editing, with a strong understanding of medicine and medical terminology.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • High productivity and ability to meet deadlines, solve editorial problems rapidly, and perform tasks on schedule.
