Research Director

Job Opportunity:

Dayananda Sagar University invites applications for a Research Director in the Department of Computer Science Engineering. We seek a distinguished researcher with extensive experience in leading high-impact projects and mentoring research scholars.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced research in Computer Science Engineering and publish original findings in top-tier journals and conferences.
  • Mentor PhD scholars and research students, guiding their research work and development.
  • Secure external funding through grants, consultancy, and collaboration with industry partners.
  • Establish interdisciplinary research collaborations within the university and with external institutions.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and conferences to foster a research culture.
  • Provide expert advice on research policy, strategy, and development within the department and university.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Science Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
  • At least 15-20 years of research, teaching, or industry experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in research through publications in reputable journals and conferences.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale research projects and secure funding.
  • Experience in supervising doctoral research scholars.
  • Strong expertise in areas like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or related fields.

Desirable Attributes:

  • A strong network with academic and industry research organizations.
  • Experience in patenting, technology transfer, or entrepreneurship is beneficial.
