The Role

  • Prepare daily cash reports for active private equity secondaries funds, collating data from administrators, banking providers and internal forecasts using our advanced data visualization tool.
  • Reconcile movements in capacity, loan balances and forecast capacity to prior day reporting, adjusting manual forecast data for new deals and uncertain cash flows based on the latest information.
  • Review cash management proposals from administrators for internal cash movements within fund structures and instruct them as required.
  • Formulate short-term forecast proposals for each fund and vehicle to drive near-term cash management, including loan drawdowns/repayments, Money Market Fund subscriptions/redemptions and FX trades.
  • Liaise with fund owners within the treasury team to review and agree proposals.
  • Prepare loan instructions and FX instructions to send to administrators and other service providers.
  • Closely collaborate with the treasury team, including daily meetings on cash management topics to discuss what's happened, what to consider for next few days and medium term investor cash flow planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Post-graduate qualification such as CFA, CA, MBA, CCRA, CIIA or CAIA equivalent.
  • At least 9 years of experience in fund accounting is preferred, preferably with managing and/or leading employees for 2-3 years.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively identify ways to enhance process, procedure or outcome that benefits the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize large and varied workload, managing multiple tasks and details simultaneously.
  • Ability to show initiative, willingness to learn and take on responsibilities as contributing team member either in lead or backup role to ensure team success.
  • Should be solutions-focused and able to work in unstructured environments under minimum or no supervision.
  • Willingness to acknowledge what is not understood and seek assistance.
  • Knowledge of MS Office with strong skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
