IT Governance Specialist Opportunity

We seek an IT governance professional with a deep understanding of frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF to join our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive IT governance frameworks aligned with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish robust IT policies, standards, and procedures across all domains (cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, vendor management).
  • Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations including RBI guidelines, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001.
  • Coordinate audits and regulatory inspections; oversee closure of compliance findings.
  • Conduct regular IT risk assessments; manage risk registers and key risk indicators (KRIs).
  • Monitor control testing and implement risk mitigation plans, including vendor IT compliance.
  • Design and develop governance dashboards and reports for senior executives and board committees.
  • Lead IT assurance activities, audits, self-assessments, and certification efforts.
  • Serve as liaison among business units, risk teams, and regulators.
  • Drive cross-functional governance initiatives and awareness programs.
  • Oversee IT compliance programs, regulatory submissions, and third-party risk management.
  • Evaluate the impact of emerging regulations on IT operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in IT governance or compliance, preferably in the banking/financial services industry.
  • Proven knowledge of IT governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Regulatory expertise: RBI, SEBI, DPDP.
  • Payment card industry standards (PCI DSS) and associated audit requirements.
  • Able to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in implementing IT governance tools and automation for policy enforcement, reporting, and risk assessments.
