Job Summary

We are seeking an IT Governance Lead to spearhead our organization's compliance program, ensuring that all IT activities, processes and procedures align with defined requirements, policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT Governance framework to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with the ERM team to identify and mitigate risks across the entire IT landscape.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of commonly used governance, risk and compliance frameworks and develop strategies to address complex compliance challenges.
  • Design and operationalize metrics and reporting activities to provide ongoing visibility into compliance performance for operational and executive leadership.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert providing guidance and influence on governance and compliance matters to process owners.
  • Responsible for creating, reviewing and updating IT Audit policies and procedures documents.
  • Coordinate and track IT related audits including scope, parties involved, timelines and outcomes.
  • Work with external auditors and consultants on required IT assessments and audits.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with audit entities to ensure consistency in presentation.
  • Define business process responsibilities and ownership of controls in GRC tool. Schedule regular assessments and testing of effectiveness and efficiency of controls.
  • Implement a risk assessment framework aligned to regulatory requirements to ensure documented and sustainable compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in IT or security-related field from an accredited university.
  • Holding at least one security certification is preferred.
  • Experience in related industry with insight and understanding of IT policies, standards and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of IT Risk, Compliance and Cybersecurity Frameworks.
  • Ability to develop standards and guidelines based on best practices and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including formal report writing experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and resolution of issues.
