Job Title: Engineering Manager

As a seasoned engineering manager, you will lead and manage a team of talented engineers in the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers to drive technical excellence and foster a collaborative environment
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent
  • Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and workload distribution to optimize team productivity and efficiency
  • Collaborate with other engineering managers and department heads to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources effectively
  • Work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and customers to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and mitigate risks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering
  • Proven track record of at least 2 years in a technical management role, leading high-performing engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, methodologies, and best practices
  • Good hands-on understanding of Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka, RMQ), Elasticsearch, SQL, NoSQL, K8s, Kafka streams, etc

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of container-based development & deployment (e.g. Docker, rkt)
  • Experience working on cloud-based applications built on microservices-based paradigms, achieving horizontal scaling
