
Strategic Process Improvement Leader

This position will facilitate and lead strategic, high-impact process improvement projects. Deploys techniques of definition, measurement, analysis, improvement, and control to optimize facility utilization and workflow.
The primary objective of this role is to implement lean methods to improve efficiency and reduce waste by collaborating with colleagues to design efficient workstations and processes.
Facilitate groups & individuals across all functions to identify key business process improvements and decide on methodologies.
- Communicating with project teams on the progress of quality improvement projects and implementing best practices.
- Providing expert advice and assistance to team members in areas from statistics to change management to process design strategies.
- Gathering and analyzing data about team activities to ensure that timelines are adhered to focus on key processes that influence customer value elements.
- Motivating team members to participate effectively in improvement activities and rewarding those who perform exceptionally well.
- Implementing SPC systems and tools in departments to monitor and control processes.
- Working closely with global teams to develop annual lean transformation plans for sites or functional areas based on value stream maps and strategy deployment objectives.
- Leading and influencing others in teams through education/communication to drive change in methodologies.
- Partnering with business stakeholders at all levels in the organization to identify high-impact improvement opportunities and their business champions.
- Tracking/reporting project results and ensuring improved processes remain effective.
- Leading multi-disciplined teams in addressing quality issues and executing systemic improvement projects in a timely manner.
- Collaborating with teams to help and support business growth with high empowerment.
- Preparing weekly, monthly reports pertaining to operations and sharing concerns on time.
- Helping the operations team with data analysis using analytical tools.
- Conducting refresh training to shop floors on Lean six sigma and statistical process control tools.
- Actively driving savings and improvement projects through Lean six sigma.
- Using safety calendars as accountability tools to measure safety performance and promote EHS culture.
- Ensuring adherence to basic quality management systems.
- Performing other tasks assigned.
Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or equivalent fields related
Job Experience
- Overall experience of 4 to 7 years, out of which three (3) or more years of LEAN & Six Sigma experience and demonstrated ability to perform essential job functions.
- Technical knowledge of lean principles, tools, and techniques.
Knowledge and Skills
- Black belt certification is advantageous.
- Working experience in Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous improvement.
- Strong business acumen, fast learning skills, and self-motivation with high discipline.
- Strong facilitation skills and analytical techniques.
- Ability to quickly understand data and create proper analyses.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and presentation/communication skills.
- Proficient in various tools; Kanban, 5S, visual management, Poka-Yoke methods, VSM, pull systems, etc.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
