Job Title: Maintenance Operations Specialist

This role reports to the Plant Management and requires a strong background in maintenance and utilities management in a large dairy, food, or pharma plant.

Nature of Experience:
  • Maintenance of milk processing equipment such as pasteurizers, separators, bactofuge, vacuum pumps, DSI, high pressure pumps, blowers, fluid bed, sifter, cheddar master, cooker, etc.
  • Utilities equipment like boiler & steam network, ammonia & freon based refrigeration system, compressed air & nitrogen generation system, VAM, RO & UF, sand & carbon filters, pumps, DG sets, transformers, etc.
  • Advanced maintenance practices like Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action Preventive Action, Mean Time Between Failures, Mean Time To Repair, preventive & predictive maintenance, electronics equipment monitoring tools & tackles.
  • Preparation and monitoring of maintenance budget, setting and improving energy standards, identifying and executing cost & energy saving ideas.
  • Execution and achievement of plant Key Performance Indicators like productivity, losses & complaint reduction, specific energy consumption, production lines Overall Equipment Effectiveness improvement.
  • People management: capable of managing a team of 100 people, identifying training needs of the maintenance team, performance assessment, and inculcating a human safety culture.
  • Analytical thought process to bring new concepts in maintenance practices, energy management, setting new standards.
  • Liaisoning with government agencies like factory, boiler & electrical inspector, MSEB, local administration.

Added advantages include experience in Capital Expenditure, project execution, knowledge of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning application, Environmental Management System, Six Sigma, and professional certifications like Energy Manager, Boiler Engineer, Total Productive Maintenance Facilitator.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize production.
  • Manage a team of maintenance personnel to ensure seamless operation of plant equipment.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for regular audits and inspections.
  • Identify areas for cost savings and energy efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve plant KPIs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation).
  • 10 years of experience in maintenance and utilities management in a large dairy, food, or pharma plant.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
