Job Overview

This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of facilities by managing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing installations, and Civil maintenance within the premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with the Assistant Manager Engineering/Engineering Manager to deliver top-notch services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare critical spares lists for all installations based on manufacturers' recommendations and develop inventory plans for maintenance carried out by in-house teams.
  • Implement and oversee proactive maintenance programs to minimize risks of equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to evaluate maintenance/service practices of M&E Contractors, promoting quality workmanship aligned with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of logbooks, checklists, and PPM schedules for M&E installations.
  • Manage downtime/breakdowns effectively.
  • Cater to ad-hoc M&E setups as per client requirements from time to time.
  • Ensure contractors adhere to house rules at all times and projects are executed with minimal inconvenience to clients.
  • Take on AFM responsibilities if needed.
  • Independently handle shifts on all engineering-related matters.
  • Conduct daily walks around the facility.
  • Operational Risk Management
  • Update and implement Emergency Response plans; drills as required.
  • Operational Audits and Compliance.
  • Escalation of Incidents/Problems
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Achieve best practice standards in service provision through contracts.
  • Establish and adhere to policies & procedures, meeting compliance deadlines as advised by the Operations Manager.
  • Effectively manage the team.
Reporting Requirements:
  • Submit daily reports on M&E activities to the Assistant Engineering Manager/Engineering Manager.
  • Generate Service maintenance reports on office equipment.
  • Produce Inventory and Purchasing reports for spares and consumables.
  • Generate Downtime and breakdown incident reports.
