Facility Maintenance Director

The primary role of a maintenance manager involves overseeing the overall management of engineering, electrical, and civil maintenance activities within a facility.
This position requires effective leadership skills to manage a team, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities include:
Roles & Responsibilities:- Ensuring provisions of HTPL/Zircon management system are observed and contributing to continuous improvement.
- Assisting in preventive maintenance job planning and execution, including warranty jobs.
- Supervising maintenance activities for electrical, mechanical, and rail siding equipment.
- Managing spare part planning, monitoring, and technical confirmation.
- Following up on major breakdowns, repairs, and external party repairs.
- Conducting safety inspections of equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Creating and implementing preventive maintenance documents and schedules for equipment.
- Maintaining records for diesel consumption and tire efficiency of handling equipment.
- Raising requisitions for electrical, mechanical, and rail siding spares.
- Assisting in setting up an in-house maintenance team and spare parts management.
- Providing reports on maintenance activities, fuel usage, and electrical consumption.
- Implementing environmental management system procedures to reduce waste.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in a relevant discipline or certifications in Maintenance Management/Facilities Management is a plus.
Essential Skills Include:
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and rail siding equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to plan and manage preventive maintenance and repair activities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and complex written information.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and vendor coordination.
- Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations and their application to maintenance.
Additional Information: This role will partner closely with the Operations Department to resolve technical issues, improve maintenance practices, and ensure smooth facility operations.
