Job Description

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Media Asset Manager to oversee the management of large volumes of video footage. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, be proficient in data wrangling tools, and have a keen eye for detail.

This role involves developing and implementing effective data management workflows that streamline the handoff between production and post-production teams. Additionally, the successful candidate will work closely with editors to provide organized data that enables them to focus on storytelling.

The Media Asset Manager will also ensure that all media is safely stored, organized, and easily accessible throughout the production lifecycle. This includes managing hard drives, cards, and data transfer equipment to ensure seamless content delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Organizational and Technical Skills:
    • Proven ability to manage large amounts of data efficiently
    • Proficiency in camera file formats, data wrangling tools (e.g., ShotPut Pro, Hedge), and file organization best practices
  • Collaborative Mindset:
    • Comfortable working alongside directors of photography, editors, and producers
  • Problem-Solving Abilities:
    • Proactive in troubleshooting technical issues on set or during data transfers
  • Interest in Storytelling:
    • Passion for creating impactful content that inspires positive change
