IT Asset Management Expert

The successful IT asset management professional will lead the development and implementation of end-to-end processes to manage hardware, software, and other digital assets throughout their lifecycle. They will also oversee license management, compliance audits, procurement, renewals, and optimization.

This key role requires collaboration with various teams including procurement, finance, security, and IT operations to optimize costs and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT asset management processes from start to finish.
  • Lead software license management, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline costs and ensure governance.
  • Perform software discovery, reconciliation, and compliance checks across multiple publishers.
  • Provide strategic inputs for vendor negotiations, true-up, and contract renewals.
  • Drive process improvements and automation within IT asset management.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs to monitor IT asset management performance and governance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in IT asset management and software asset management tools.
  • Solid understanding of license models (perpetual, subscription, cloud/SaaS, BYOL, enterprise agreements).
  • Hands-on experience in software license optimization, audits, and compliance management.
  • Ability to manage hardware asset lifecycle (procurement, inventory, disposal, refresh).
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes (especially IT asset management, CMDB, Incident, Change, and Procurement).
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience in Excel, Power BI, or ServiceNow reports.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
