Database Specialist Role

This position involves utilizing your expertise in database development to design, implement and maintain scalable, high-performance database solutions. Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities including:

  • Database Design & Development: Collaborate with the team to develop high-performance database functionalities and resolve performance issues.
  • Migration & Upgrades: Perform MySQL upgrades and apply patches as required.
  • Database Administration: Configure and troubleshoot MySQL Enterprise Monitor (MEM), Oracle Enterprise Monitor (OEM) and manage backups and logical backups using mysqldump/mysqlpump.
  • High Availability: Configure InnoDB Cluster and Master-Slave replication configurations and ensure seamless data management.
  • Cloud Services: Utilize public cloud services like AWS/Azure to provide solutions and troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the team and clients to ensure successful project outcomes and effectively communicate technical information.

Required Skills

  • MySQL Expertise: Possess extensive experience with MySQL enterprise versions and related tools.
  • Data Management: Strong understanding of data management principles, including permissions, recovery, security and monitoring.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages used for database development.
  • Cloud Computing: Experience with public cloud services and ability to utilize them for database solutions.
