Senior Mortgage Leadership Role

We are seeking a seasoned and proactive Team Lead to oversee a team of analysts supporting commercial real estate lending operations. This role will manage day-to-day delivery, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and lead client interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor analysts in processing loan applications, credit documentation, and portfolio management.
  • E nsure timely delivery aligned with SLAs/KPIs with high accuracy.
  • Track, review, and report team performance; conduct regular feedback and coaching sessions.

Operational Excellence:

  • Enforce adherence to lending policy, standards, and criteria.
  • Review and approve credit papers/documentation prior to submission.
  • Support the use of front-end systems to monitor loan applications through approval.

Critical Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders.
  • Manage escalations, provide operational updates, and lead process alignment discussions.
  • Foster transparent communication between teams.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Oversee collaboration with KYC and Financial Crime teams for onboarding/fraud cases.
  • Ensure compliance with UK banking regulations and client-specific policies.

Process Improvement and Reporting:

  • Identify initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Prepare and present performance reports, dashboards, and insights for senior leadership.

Candidate Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or financial services.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and working with international clients.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of mortgage lending, credit documentation, and compliance.
  • Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability.
