Database Administrator Position

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to ensure the smooth operation of SQL Server environments, perform routine DBA activities, and provide technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain SQL Server health and performance.
  • Perform database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and indexing.
  • Carry out database installation, configuration, and patching.
  • Respond to basic support tickets related to database issues.
  • Monitor scheduled jobs and troubleshoot failures.
  • Escalate issues to senior DBAs when necessary.
  • Maintain documentation of database configurations and support procedures.
  • Provide on-call support under supervision.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery drills.
  • Perform database refresh activities across environments.
  • Assist in Always On configuration and maintenance.
  • Manage database security, including user logins and access permissions.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server administration.
  • Hands-on experience in database backups, restores, and indexing.
  • Experience with job monitoring and understanding of Always On, Log Shipping, and DR drills.
  • Basic knowledge of database security and user management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience with MS SQL Server is required.
  • Knowledge of database security and user management is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • On-call support may be required.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
