As a senior Oracle Exadata DBA, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance and performance of critical Oracle RDBMS systems, including Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), to ensure availability and consistent performance.

This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, cloud migration experience and excellent interpersonal abilities. Continuous engagement with clients is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementation of new database systems and ongoing support to ensure operational readiness.
  • Collaboration with clients to develop and maintain multiple database environments across various Oracle versions and platforms.
  • Development of high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Design and implementation of database security and compliance strategies.
  • Management of database resources, monitoring and tuning performance using various tools.
  • Administration of Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching and backup/recovery processes.

Some key requirements include: 8 years of production database support experience, large-scale database environment support and proven experience with Oracle Exadata systems.

Requirements
  • Strong technical skills and hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata systems.
  • Proven experience with Oracle RAC, ASM and Grid Infrastructure.
  • Experience working in UNIX, Linux and Windows environments.
  • Public Cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) required.
  • Provisioning, backup, restore and performance optimization of cloud databases.
