Job Title: Business Intelligence Specialist

A leading retailer and distributor of premium watches with a strong presence across retail outlets and a rapidly growing e-commerce business is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Specialist. This role involves working from raw data to actionable insights, driving data-backed decisions for both retail and online channels.

  • Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) including retail sales, e-commerce sales, inventory levels, customer behaviour, and pricing performance to enhance business strategy.
  • Collect, clean, and structure raw data from Point of Sale (POS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Google Analytics, marketplaces, and social/digital platforms to extract valuable insights.
  • Build interactive dashboards and automated reports using Business Intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau to track KPIs across retail and e-commerce.
  • Lead demand forecasting, product performance evaluation, assortment analysis, and customer segmentation projects to inform marketing, merchandising, and supply chain planning initiatives.
  • Conduct micro-level and predictive analysis to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, e-commerce, merchandising, and operations teams to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
  • E nsure data accuracy, integrity, and quality across all reporting systems.
  • Presentation of insights and strategic recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business intelligence, with at least 3 years in retail/wholesale analytics.
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of retail KPIs, sales metrics, and inventory data.
  • Experience with POS, ERP, and retail analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Experience with business forecasting and customer segmentation.
  • Background in omni-channel or eCommerce environments.
