The Role:

You'll lead a team of talented product designers, setting a vision for user experience across our products. As a key voice in the product leadership team, you'll translate complex capabilities and solutions into clear, compelling, and valuable experiences. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet user needs and push the boundaries of what is possible with AI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Strategy - Define and drive the holistic design vision for our products, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience across internal and external applications.
  • Team Leadership - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Customer-Facing Influence - Engage in early client discussions to shape design strategy, translating needs into actionable insights.
  • Design Ops - Establish and streamline design operations to improve efficiency, consistency, and quality across teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align on product strategy, goals, and roadmaps.
  • User Advocacy - Advocate for the user through research, testing, and feedback, ensuring design decisions are informed by a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors.
  • Design Systems - Maintain and establish a centralized design system with standards, patterns, and best practices for designing with AI.
  • Evangelism - Present design strategies and concepts to senior leadership and stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design decisions.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent.

Skills

  • 12+ years of experience in product design within a technology or product-centric company.
  • Proven experience leading a team of designers who design and ship AI-powered products or features.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with a track record of using data to inform design decisions.
  • Excellent relationship management skills working in a technical environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex design concepts and strategies.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
