Manufacturing Simulation Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Simulation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with simulation software such as Auto Form and Siemens NX.

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in BIW manufacturing feasibility or related domains.
  • Strong understanding of BIW manufacturing processes including stamping, spot welding, Assembly, and tryout knowledge.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools and CAD systems.
  • Solid knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and tolerance analysis.
  • Familiarity with various joining methods used in automotive body construction.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
About the Role:

The Manufacturing Simulation Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing simulation models to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively. They should also be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop simulation models to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure effective implementation of new processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in simulation technology.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering and at least 3 years of hands-on experience in BIW manufacturing feasibility or related domains.
