Scrap Metal Trader Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Scrap Metal Trader who can navigate market trends, negotiate favorable terms, and close deals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Sourcing: Identify and acquire scrap metal from industrial manufacturers, demolition companies, and recycling facilities.
  2. Negotiation: Secure favorable pricing and terms with suppliers and buyers to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
  3. Sales: Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while expanding business opportunities to grow market share.
  4. Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes affecting the scrap metal industry.
  5. Logistics Coordination: Coordinate scrap metal transportation and logistics, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with safety regulations.
  6. Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and environmental standards governing the scrap metal trading industry.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in scrap metal trading, with a strong network of industry contacts.
  3. Proven track record of meeting sales targets and revenue goals.
  4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  5. Strong analytical skills and market understanding.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and trading software.
