Job Summary:

This role involves ensuring the quality of mainframe applications by designing and executing comprehensive test plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the application requirements and design test cases to validate its functionality.
  • Analyze logs for abended jobs and identify root causes of issues.
  • Prepare test data and submit jobs to execute test cases.
  • Collaborate with development and support teams to resolve defects.
  • Support practice associates with expertise in respective domains.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience in testing lifecycle processes, including test case creation, data preparation, and execution.
  • Proficiency in editing JCL or creating JCL to submit test batch jobs.
  • Familiarity with TSO/ISPF commands on mainframes.
  • Ability to analyze database and output files to verify outputs.
  • Knowledge of COBOL programming and ability to work with IT developers.
  • Experience in STLC Lifecycle or Agile methodology.
