ETL Developer Job Description

Job Overview

As an ETL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining ETL processes to extract data from various sources, transform it into a standardized format, and load it into target systems. This is a critical role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter or similar tools (SSIS) to extract, transform, and load data into target systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and IT professionals, to identify business requirements and design solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop complex SQL queries to optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues related to data integration.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of projects by adhering to project timelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4-8 years of experience in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter or similar tools (SSIS).
  • Strong understanding of SQL programming language, including query optimization techniques.
  • Experience working on large-scale data integration projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in developing complex workflows using Informatica's Workflow Manager.
