Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT operations and technical support, with experience in managing production systems, executing daily processes, and coordinating disaster recovery activities.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee production systems during night shifts, ensuring smooth operations and prompt incident response.
  • Execute daily job processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Coordinate disaster recovery activities, ensuring the availability and reliability of critical systems.
  • System maintenance activities, ensuring all systems are up-to-date with the latest security and functionality updates.
  • Collaborate with various teams to address and resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Prepare and share comprehensive periodic status reports detailing performance, incidents, and improvements made during the week.
  • Manage and administer Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
  • Evaluate and optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with software vendors and OEMs.
  • PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with daily job handling and managing disaster recovery activities.
  • System maintenance processes and coordination with different teams.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in managing Linux systems.
  • Basic understanding of database systems (DB2).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during the night shift.
  • Dedication towards duties and responsibilities and initiative-taking.
  • Team building and leadership.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. At least 2 years of experience in IT operations and technical support.
