Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Country Manager to spearhead our growth strategy in India. As a transformative leader, you will play a critical role in shaping our Ocean & Air product vertical and driving business expansion in the region.

Key responsibilities include managing a significant Ocean/Air P&L and team across America, developing and maintaining relations with ocean carrier partners.

  • Strategic Planning: Design, build, and price our Ocean/Air marketplace coverage, managing yield and procuring competitive market rates.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a diverse team of leaders, executing Global Carrier Strategy and Development on Regional Trade Carrier Strategy.
  • Business Development: Be responsible for responding to tenders and RFQs to secure regional and global customers through your team.
  • Market Expertise: Manage a team of Market experts in Ocean/Air Freight, actively supporting sales and marketing organization with market information and sales leads.
  • Trade Knowledge: Educate teams with trade-specific market knowledge and trade idiosyncrasies, scaling ocean and air freight for the biggest region.
  • Air Growth: Own air growth in the INDIA USA by leading a team of regional Sales and Pricing team to drive business development throughout the region.
  • Pricing Strategy: Administer overall pricing strategy for all fixed and spot business, tracking metrics such as conversion and take rate.
  • Solution Development: Design scalable air freight solutions to support unique verticals and segments.
  • Export Procurement: Develop a US Export procurement strategy by negotiating contracts, fixed allocations, and potentially BSA's, monitoring utilization of capacity.
  • Quality Management: Administer quality management with IN- US Export carriers, driving on-time performance and milestone timeliness.
  • Take Rate Optimization: Own take rate by managing air freight cost and pricing inputs, leveraging the right carriers, routings, and consolidation strategies.
  • Commercial Partnerships: Be the executive-level POC for all Indian airline relationships, providing commercial support to largest global accounts.
  • Global Partnerships: Partner with sales organization on global, strategic RFQ's by providing pricing strategy and commercial support.
