Job Opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer

Our company is seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our team of structural engineers in delivering high-quality engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to provide strategic direction and technical guidance.

  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure timely delivery of engineering designs, plans, and documents within quality and cost parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of junior structural engineers to achieve business objectives and improve overall performance.
  • Collaborate with the appointed structural Engineering Consultant and Peer reviewer to ensure high-quality engineering solutions.

Project Management & Execution

  • Conduct thorough technical reviews, quality assurance checks, and risk assessments for ongoing projects to identify areas for improvement and mitigate potential risks.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering calculations, load assessments, and finite element analysis using software tools (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, RCDC) to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Structural Design & Analysis

  • Review and approve structural design submissions from junior engineers to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Participate in design charrettes, pre-construction meetings, and construction progress meetings to facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Certifications:

  • Possession of professional engineer (PE) license and other relevant certifications as required by law or industry standards.
