Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function at our Sugar & Distillery plant. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing end-to-end HR operations in a manufacturing setup, and the ability to align people practices with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Human Capital Management: Lead all plant-level HR functions including manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, training & development.
  • Employee Engagement: Drive employee engagement initiatives, ensuring a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Industrial Relations: Manage industrial relations (IR) and maintain strong union/worker relationships while ensuring compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements.
  • Operational Support: Oversee time office, payroll, attendance, and shift management systems.
  • Policy Development: Implement HR policies, performance management systems, and career development frameworks.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare regulations in line with factory and distillery operations.
  • Business Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to plant leadership, supporting productivity and workforce efficiency.
  • Disciplinary Processes: Manage disciplinary processes, grievance handling, and conflict resolution with fairness and transparency.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with a strong focus on driving business results through effective HR strategies.

Requirements
  • A proven track record of managing HR operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in industrial relations, employee engagement, and human capital management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, management, and unions.
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, with a master's degree preferred.
