Job Summary: Identify and acquire suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects.

The successful candidate will lead and manage the end-to-end land acquisition process, building and managing relationships with local stakeholders, and ensuring legal sanctity of land through coordination with legal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scout and negotiate land acquisition deals that meet project requirements.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and government departments to obtain necessary clearances and approvals.
  • Conduct title due diligence and ensure legal sanctity of land.
  • Oversee Right of Way (RoW) acquisition, mutation, land conversion, and compliance with state-specific renewable energy policies.
  • Ensure clear documentation, including agreements to sale, lease deeds, power of attorney, and land maps.
  • Keep track of local land price trends, zoning regulations, and state incentives to ensure cost-effective deals.
  • Supervise a field team of land officers, surveyors, and external consultants.
  • Handle conflict resolution and address any legal or community-related land acquisition issues.
  • Regularly update management on project progress, risk factors, and mitigation plans.
