Energy Storage Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Storage Specialist to design and develop cutting-edge battery-based energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement energy storage solutions using PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations in the USA.
  • Lead technical reviews of documents and installations to guarantee adherence to industry best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date on current battery technologies, their characteristics, and parameters.
  • Design and execute FAT and integration test plans for BESS systems, reviewing vendor-provided technical documentation.
  • Manage bids and projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct electrical testing using proper PPE and procedures, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Attend manufacturer-approved training sessions to enhance professional knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in BESS system development and implementation.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a relevant field. PhD holders welcome.
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
  • At least 3 years of electrical knowledge/training experience in BESS system development.
  • Strong organization, communication, analytical, planning, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Client management, team management, and process management skills.
  • Additionally, knowledge of other electrical and PV software is an asset.
