Senior Data Scientist Position

The role of the Senior Data Scientist involves providing high-level data analysis and programming support to various projects across a range of industries.

This position will be responsible for manipulating large datasets and generating reports to enable business analysts to explore real-world data assets. The ideal candidate must have excellent data manipulation and statistical skills, along with the ability to implement complex logic using R, SQL, and other relevant tools.

The successful applicant will also be comfortable with creating complex data sets derived from various sources, while maintaining attention to detail in identifying outliers and errors.

The key technical requirements for this role include proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Excel, or Power BI, as well as expertise in Oncology databases like Flatiron and COTA.

A good understanding of Oncology-specific analyses such as Line of Therapy algorithms, Survival analysis, and different statistical models is also essential.

Besides these qualifications, the ideal candidate should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively lead internal meetings, present study updates, and share scientific knowledge within the team.

In terms of education, a Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field is required, accompanied by at least 7-8 years of experience in SAS statistical programming and database programming using SQL.

Prior training or experience in the OMOP common data model and cloud-based software like Python, R, Databricks would be beneficial.
