Job Description

The role of a Senior Procurement Manager involves strategic sourcing and procurement of all types of steel materials from OEMs and dealers. The incumbent will be responsible for developing desired steel grades and making MOUs/agreements with large steel manufacturers.

  • Purchasing of bulk materials like pig iron, scrap, Fe, and Mg is mandatory.
  • Source and procure all types of steel materials, including HR coils, MS, SS, special grade, and consumables.
  • Knowledge of casting, machining, nitriding, vacuum hardening, and other processes is essential.
  • Able to negotiate with large steel manufacturers for cost savings.
  • Manage working capital across PAN India plants based on market and site requirements.
  • Analyze product trends and forecasting, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Strong negotiation skills with cost bifurcation are required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 14+ years of experience in procurement and sourcing.
  • Knowledge of SAP and advanced Excel is mandatory.
  • Power BI and other software tools are a plus.
