Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to lead our IT procurement efforts, focusing on negotiating contracts and optimizing spend while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Procure all types of IT hardware, software, and related services with annual spend exceeding 100 crores.
  • Manage procurement of administrative materials and services including steel and cement for new projects and expansions.
  • Negotiate contracts, order delivery, and settle transactions efficiently.
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance through internal and external audits.
  • Participate in budget planning, track due dates, and prepare for negotiations and closures.
  • Mitigate risk, develop alternatives, and optimize spend to achieve speed and cost excellence.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in engineering preferably with a postgraduate diploma or MBA in IT systems.
  • Minimum six to ten years of experience in a similar role at a large, complex organization.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Process orientation, strong ethics, and IT/computer savvy with Excel/MS Office skills.

This role reports to the Head of Procurement, requires strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and process improvement expertise to drive business success.
