Role Overview:
The credit risk manager will lead the credit risk, underwriting, and portfolio management functions.
The incumbent will play a pivotal role in setting up and driving the credit strategy, policies, and processes aligned with business goals, while ensuring risk management standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, implement, and monitor credit policies, frameworks, and processes
- Lead the credit appraisal and underwriting function
- Oversee portfolio quality, delinquency management
- Work closely with business, risk, and operations teams
- Present credit proposals and portfolio performance updates
- Build and mentor a high-performing credit team
- Stay updated with industry, regulatory, and market trends
Requirements:
- 8–15 years of experience in credit risk/underwriting
- Strong understanding of supply chain finance and related credit products
- Proven ability to build credit frameworks from scratch and manage large loan books
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory norms and compliance requirements
- Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills
- CA/MBA/FRM or equivalent qualification
