Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Risk Analyst to join our team.

  • This role will involve preparing daily credit and market risk reports, producing risk analysis and inputs for management committee packs, reviewing and sending out limit breach notifications, conducting credit analysis of new and existing clients, responding to ad hoc queries on limit utilisation and counterparty requests, providing margin rates and monitoring margin levels, escalating issues as needed, and supporting colleagues in the absence of risk analysts or market risk leads.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare daily credit and market risk reports, leveraging advanced Excel skills, including experience writing macros.
  2. Produce risk analysis and inputs for management committee packs, showcasing a strong understanding of capital markets fundamentals, including mark-to-market and settlement processes.
  3. Review and send out limit breach notifications, exercising high analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  4. Conduct credit analysis of new and existing clients, applying knowledge of balance sheets and income statements.
  5. Respond to ad hoc queries on limit utilisation and counterparty requests, displaying excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  6. Provide margin rates and monitor margin levels, escalating issues as needed, ensuring career-focused and committed professionals who are proactive and resilient.
  7. Support colleagues in the absence of risk analysts or market risk leads, highlighting effective team players with leadership potential.

Requirements
  • A strong understanding of capital markets fundamentals, including mark-to-market and settlement processes.
  • Knowledge and experience of equity and fixed income products.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience writing macros.
  • Knowledge of balance sheets and income statements.
  • A Bachelor's degree (2:1 minimum) in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
