Job Title: Senior Legal Expert

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead our legal team in South Asia, working closely with stakeholders to provide expert advice on complex legal matters.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of delivering high-quality results, building effective relationships, and driving business growth through strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Legal Advice: Provide timely and accurate legal counsel to stakeholders on contractual matters, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Document Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including commercial contracts, GTCs, NDAs, MOUs, and other contractual arrangements related to sales, purchases, supply, consultancy, agency, distribution, real estate, construction, mining, and banking.
  • Compliance: Ensure implementation of Group compliance programs and assist in training business teams exposed to compliance risks.
  • Litigation Management: Manage disputes, pre-litigation, and litigation matters, including arbitration, and develop effective strategies to resolve legal issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Law from a reputable institution; bar qualification in India or other Commonwealth countries is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing corporate and commercial law.
  • Excellent legal and strategic judgment with strong business partnering skills.
  • High level of integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and a quick learner.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide legal solutions proactively and mitigate risks effectively.
