Legal Advisor Role

The Legal Advisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's legal integrity and compliance with laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal Advice and Compliance
    • Provide expert legal counsel to senior executives, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.

Contract and Document Management

  • Draft, review, and vet legal documents, including Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and standard agreements with external parties.

Litigation Management

  • Coordinate with internal and external legal advisors on court matters, preparing responses to grievances and attending court when necessary.

Policy Development

  • Monitor and manage internal legal processes, update existing policies, and formulate new ones that align with the organization's interests.

Grievance and Dispute Resolution

  • Serve as a member secretary for committees, such as the Committee Against Sexual Harassment, and handle internal disputes from a legal perspective.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law (LLB or LLM) from a recognized institution with registration.

Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum six years of experience as an advocate or in a legal department, preferably in the education sector, demonstrating hands-on application of legal knowledge.
  • Possess strong analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills, along with excellent oral and written communication abilities. Knowledge of Telugu is essential.
