Job Title: Academic Director for Industrial Design
">About the Role:
">We are seeking a highly accomplished and experienced Academic Director to lead our industrial design department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial design, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to develop and implement academic programs that align with our institution's mission.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Develop and implement academic programs for industrial design that meet industry standards and stay relevant.
">- Supervise and support faculty members in their teaching practices, research projects, and professional development.
">- Conduct regular evaluations of program curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards.
">- Collaborate with other departments to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
">- Oversee student recruitment efforts and plan department budget and resources effectively.
">Qualifications:
">- Master's or Ph.D. degree in industrial design.
">- 15+ years of experience with minimum of 5 years experience in an academic leadership role within a design school setting.
">- Strong understanding of current trends and developments in the field of industrial design.
">- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with faculty, staff, students, industry professionals, and other stakeholders.
