Site Reliability Engineer Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the production support and application administration of business and web applications, 3rd party applications, and related ecosystems.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience in all types of production support activities, including attending help requests, installations, configurations, debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. They will also work on application design and deployment projects, change management, and monitoring.

  • Administer applications in cloud environments with expertise in n-Tiered Microsoft platforms and application architectures.
  • Strong experience with power shell scripts and knowledge of Web Server Knowledge - IIS, Apache web server.
  • Good understanding of common network protocols (HTTP, FTP) and SSL along with knowledge of debugging network related issues using Wireshark.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills, with experience in supporting ASP/.Net based applications (custom developed and off-the-shelf systems).
  • Ability to fine tune applications for any performance issues and thorough understanding of monitoring systems and monitoring methodology.

We require:

  • BS/MS degree with about five years of solid experience as an application support administrator, primarily in a Microsoft oriented IT environment.
  • Excellent technical understanding of Microsoft technologies and strong expertise in SQL databases.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills (must be able to articulate technical designs, strategies, and problems to management).
