We are seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer to join our BigSpring Core team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining frontend projects, driving technical architecture, and contributing to the evolution of our platform's user-facing experiences.
This is a unique opportunity to leverage cutting-edge web technologies, including Next.js, React.js, JavaScript, CSS, TypeScript, AWS, and GraphQL, while collaborating on innovative projects that involve Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Lead the architecture and development of scalable, performant frontend systems using React and TypeScript.
- Build elegant, intuitive interfaces.
- Develop reusable component libraries and design systems to support consistency and velocity across multiple product surfaces.
- Optimize web applications for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility at scale.
- Integrate AI-driven product features and dynamic data flows into the frontend experience.
- Work within a modern cloud-native stack alongside backend and infra teammates.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality, responsive user interfaces and components using React, NextJS, TypeScript, and SSR.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, business stakeholders, backend engineers, and users to translate requirements and feedback into effective frontend solutions.
- Take ownership of the user experience, applying UI/UX best practices, proposing design improvements, and implementing solutions even when detailed mockups are not provided.
- Write robust unit tests for your code using frameworks like Vitest, and contribute to establishing and maintaining end-to-end testing practices.
- Integrate frontend components with backend REST APIs.
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to frontend architecture discussions, justifying design choices and helping implement scalable and maintainable solutions.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on frontend development.
- Proven expertise in building complex web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with state management libraries and the ability to adapt to existing patterns.
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and experience.
