Lead Demand Forecaster Role

The Senior Manager-Forecast Analyst Bu Lead role is pivotal in driving accurate demand forecasts for specific Business Units. As the lead forecaster, you will be responsible for generating reliable driver-based forecasts that serve as starting points for the Demand Planning process within Integrated Business Planning (IBP). Close collaboration with Demand Planners and Data Scientists is crucial to ensure the forecast meets business needs and enhances forecasting engine accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads a team of forecasting analysts, focusing on specific Business Unit scopes, responsible for a portion of the overall scope.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for BU Demand Planning Leads and Data Scientists.
  • Ensures all relevant demand drivers are captured in the driver-based forecast.
  • Reconciles data inputs to confirm completeness and absence of gaps.
  • Manages massive master data management and executes lifecycle activities.
  • Makes adjustments to forecasting engine parameters/data inputs to capture trends or patterns.
  • Measures and reports Forecasting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Drove overall Forecast Continuous Improvements and Root Cause Analysis.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or related fields.
  • 8-10 years of experience in generating accurate demand statistical forecasts and advanced forecasting models, including Machine Learning algorithms.
  • Data Analysis and Insights skills, ability to navigate large datasets and identify exceptions.
  • Middle-level experience in FMCG industry and team management.
  • Collaborative and team player with strong strategic and analytical thinking.
