Backend Systems Architect

We are seeking an experienced backend systems architect to design and build scalable systems.

  • This role requires proficiency in Node.js (NestJS framework preferred) and TypeScript, with strong experience in GraphQL API design and implementation.

The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of experience in designing and building scalable systems, with expertise in Azure cloud architecture, including Container Apps.

The engineer will also work on Azure OpenAI integrations, OCR pipelines, and event-driven real-time systems such as WebSocket connections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js (NestJS) and TypeScript.
  • Design and implement GraphQL APIs and multiple system integrations.
  • Architect, optimize, and scale backend systems on Azure Container Apps.
  • Implement Azure OpenAI integrations and OCR pipelines.
  • Work on both monolithic and microservices-based architectures.
  • Design and integrate event-driven, real-time systems with WebSocket connections.
  • Ensure high unit test coverage for all code developed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 8–10 years of backend engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in Node.js (NestJS framework preferred).
  • Proficiency in TypeScript with a focus on scalable architecture.
  • Hands-on experience in GraphQL API design, implementation, and integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and Azure cloud (Container Apps, scaling, performance tuning).
  • Experience with Azure OpenAI integrations and OCR pipelines.
  • Proven background in monolithic and microservices architectures.
  • Experience with event-driven systems, real-time processing, and WebSockets.
