Job Title:

Senior Oracle Database Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Database Administration:
  • Design, deploy, and manage oracle databases on premises and in AWS RDS for optimal performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement hybrid cloud database solutions aligned with business requirements.
Database Maintenance and Optimization:
  • Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of a hybrid cloud database environment.
  • Support production environments with strong troubleshooting skills.
Automation and Scripting:
  • Utilize Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell, and Terraforms scripting to automate database administration tasks, streamline processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce security best practices for data platforms in a hybrid cloud environment.
Documentation and Support:
  • Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and team collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven working experience as a SQL Server/Oracle Database Administrator, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle and Oracle RAC.
  • Solid understanding of Oracle performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with database security principles and best practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance.
